In December of 2020, I finished my Master’s degree in Journalism with an emphasis in Media Innovation from the University of Nevada, Reno. Having lined up some remote contract and freelance work to get me by, I packed my things and began the long road-trip back home to Cleveland.
Along the way, I took the US-50 and US-70 Routes in order to make a few stops at some National Parks to break up my drive. I soon realized that US-50 is known as “The Loneliest Road in America,” and now I know why.
My first stop, however, was at Great Basin National Park on the Nevada-Utah border. Below are some photos and a video from my brief time hiking through the park.
