In December of 2020 I completed my Master’s degree in Media Innovation from the University of Nevada, Reno. As part of my graduate defense I coordinated and produced a multimedia project covering The Healthy Nevada Project, a genetic screening and innovative healthcare initiative in the state.
Deliverables for my project included a narrative film on what The Healthy Nevada Project is and its innovative practices, as well as an audio story explainer in a radio-style format on how genetic screening works. These products were used by The Hitchcock Project for Visualizing Science, as well as The Healthy Nevada Project’s partners of Renown Health, Desert Research Institute, and Helix.
Both elements of my graduate multimedia project can be found below. The video can also be viewed on The Hitchcock Project for Visualizing Science page here and the audio story here.
